Did Square Enix Just Confirm Final Fantasy 7 Remake Trilogy For The Switch 2?

In January, rumors surfaced that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake games are headed to the Xbox Series X|S and the Switch 2. While we know that FF7 Interagrade is headed to the Switch 2, the rest of the games were left in the air and no formal announcement has been made. It seems the games' director has just confirmed that\ today.

We noticed this in Nintendo's latest "Creator's Voice" video series, in which Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake games, was the newest developer showcased.

Hamaguchi said before a camera, "I have high hopes that we can build a strong partnership between Nintendo and the Final Fantasy brand. I hope players are looking forward to the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Series on Nintendo Switch 2."

I don't know about you, but that seems like confirmation, right? Bear in mind, Nintendo nor Square-Enix have yet to formally announce it, which is odd, given the video is a NIntendo production, and it's something they know the developer said on camera.
