Day of the Devs will kick off early next week, and the online presentation is set to feature a host of video game news and even some musical performances.

On Monday, July 20 beginning at 7:30 am Pacific, viewers can tune into summergamefest.com or the usual host of streaming platforms to catch the Double Fine and iam8bit co-sponsored showcase, Day of the Devs.

The show will begin with a pre-show at that time featuring acoustic renditions of the awesome Sayonara Wild Hearts soundtrack. Later in the show, more musical performances are scheduled too, including a performance by Baiyon as well as the first-ever full version of the Bugsnax theme song.

The indie-focused show has already named several of the games to be seen on the virtual stage, including An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs, Dreamscaper, I Am Dead, Tunche, and more.

The showcase will also feature several projects from the organization Girls Make Games, a game dev camp dedicated to sparking interest for game development in young girls. A press release for Day of the Devs revealed Girls Make Games has reached over 20,000 girls in 89 cities worldwide.

The closing musical set from multimedia artist Baiyon will put a cap on the show, and you can hear more of his music throughout the event.

Summer Game Fest seems to pop up a few times per month, and we know Keighley will also be involved in promoting next week's Xbox Games Showcase on July 23.
