A fan project to map the setting of Grand Theft Auto 6 ahead of its launch has been updated since the release of the second trailer. As a series, GTA has always sought to create realistic (if satirically heightened) recreations of actual American cities. GTA 6 is taking on Vice City, the series' fictionalized name for Miami, Florida, with its rows of luxury beachfront condos offset by the perils of its swampy surroundings. Speculation about what exactly GTA 6's map might look like has been ongoing for a while, but the new trailer has undoubtedly thrown fuel on the fire.
And one of the most compelling GTA 6 mapping projects just got a lot better, as shared to Reddit by EliteFireBox. According to the post, which reads more like a set of patch notes for a major update, the latest iteration of the mapping project adds tons of new landmarks, including major, possibly plot-centric buildings like Jason's house. It also updates the shape and placement of various locations, like GTA's take on the Florida Keys, Ambrosia, and Lake Leonida. In addition, it now includes the official names of several previously unknown locations, like Key Lento and Mariana County....
