Move Over Gran Turismo, Forza Horizon Is Selling Like Gangbusters On PS5

Late last month, the first of Xbox's "pillars" made its way to PlayStation hardware, when Forza Horizon 5 launched on the PlayStation 5. Its port received a 4.5/5 from TheGamer's Sam Hallahan, and gamers who bought the game at launch immediately sang its praises online.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

As it turns out, the game has been widely successful, specifically in its eight days post-launch. So much so that it now holds the crown of the fastest-selling Xbox game on PlayStation thus far.

As first shared on Bluesky by Rhys Elliot, the head of market analysis at Alinea Analytics, Forza Horizon 5's PS5 port has crossed 1.4 million in sales within its first eight days of being made available.

To put that into perspective, Sea of Thieves only managed to hit 657.3K copies sold in that same timeframe, and the recent port of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle only hit 132.9K by its eighth day.
