The games coming to PS Plus in August have been revealed.
According to the PlayStation Blog, the two games coming to PS Plus in August are Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockdown. Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered will be available starting on July 28th, while Fall Guys will be downloadable on August 4th. Both games will be available until Monday, August 31st.
The first game for PS Plus in August, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockdown, is a 60-player online multiplayer party game. Players will have to test themselves in brutal free-for-alls and co-op challenges where only the winning team advances to the next round. Players will have to navigate through a number of physics-based obstacles, such as smashing through doors, balancing in massive see-saws, and racing up mountains riddles with traps. Players are able to customize their Fall Guy to add a bit of their style into the character.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered allows players to enjoy the original game's single-player campaign all over again. The campaign has been fully remastered with improved textures, animations, physically based rendering, high-dynamic range lighting, and more. Players will be able to once again experience missions such as Cliffhanger, The Gulag, and Whiskey Hotel as they play as Task Force 141 and try to restore order to the world.
Sony also announced a free online multiplayer weekend. The weekend will begin on Saturday August 8th at 12:01 a.m., and will run through Sunday August 9th at 11:59 p.m. local time. The blog also mentioned that players can pick up a free PlayStation 4 theme celebrating the past decade of the PS Plus service.
Gamers still have the chance to pick up this month's games. The two games, NBA2K20 and Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration, will be available until Monday, August 3rd.
