Fans of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - often abbreviated to KOTOR - have been through an emotional rollercoaster over the past few years. Back in 2021, a full-blown remake was revealed with a teaser designed to hype everyone up. However, just a year later, it was handed over to a new developer, and since then, we've heard next to nothing about the game.
Everyone involved has been very reluctant to comment on the state of the KOTOR Remake, only occasionally willing to confirm that it is actively in development. It's led many to believe that it will never launch, since we're now almost four years past the teaser trailer with nothing to show for it. Not to mention, all we've had in the meantime is a dodgy port of KOTOR 2 on Switch.
What we need is a spiritual successor.
So, with all of that in mind, fancy putting down the money for a pre-order? Well, at least a couple of stores online seem to think that people will, because they've opened pre-orders before we even know how much the game will retail for, or if it will actually see the light of day....
