Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was a GPS-based RPG for mobile devices. Think Pokemon Go but using Kingdom Hearts trappings, with the player able to explore Disney Worlds and fighting the Heartless, all connected through a global map. The player’s attacks were tied to the Disney and Kingdom Hearts characters they could collect.
Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link had a beta test in 2024, but not much had been heard from the game since. It was announced today on the game’s official Twitter/X account that it has officially been canceled, though the team confirmed that they’re still developing Kingdom Hearts IV.

The official reason given in the announcement was that the developers didn’t think they could provide a satisfactory game over a long period of time, which is something that’s expected of live service titles.
