We now know which titles Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play in August.
On the Xbox Wire, the seven games coming to Xbox Game Pass in August were revealed. The first two are coming to the console version of Game Pass. They are Darksiders: Genesis and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan. Darksiders: Genesis is an action / adventure title that takes place before the events of the original game in the series. The game introduces the fourth and last horseman, Strife, and features co-op gameplay. Man of Medan is a horror title where the choices of the player heavily impact the events of the game. Gamers can play with a friend online, or up to five players offline in "movie night" mode. Both games will be available on August 6th.
Four other games are also coming to Game Pass on August 6th, but will be available on both console and PC. The games are: It Lurks Below, Trailmakers, UnderMine, and Xeno Crisis. In It Lurks Below, players create a custom character and choose from several different classes as they delve deep into the mysteries of what lurks below. The 2-D survival RPG features randomly generated levels, random items, and combat against deadly monsters. Trailmakers has players build vehicles out of blocks and explore huge sandbox maps either solo or with friends. UnderMine is an action / adventure roguelike that blends combat and dungeon crawling with RPG-like progression. Players will mine gold, die, upgrade themselves, and try again as they challenge bosses and rescue helpful characters that will supply them with new upgrades. Finally, Xeno Crisis is a top-down arena shooter that has players run and gun through seven distinct areas and use an arsenal of ten different weapons against thousands of varied enemies.
Finally, Final Fantasy VII HD will come to both the console and PC versions of Game Pass. The game will release for the service on August 13th.
It was also announced that five games are leaving Game Pass. The games will leave Game Pass on August 14th, giving gamers a bit longer to play them while they can. Those who wish to purchase the games and keep them after they leave the service will get up to 20% off. The games are listed below:
