There's possibly no video game creator who’s received as much praise as Hideo Kojima, and for good reason. From the insanely imaginative Metal Gear series to recent hits like Death Stranding, there’s nothing quite like a Hideo Kojima game.

One of the greatest things about the gaming industry is that many of its original savants, like Kojima, are still here to teach us their methods. That said, like all great creators, there's this aching feeling knowing that one of these games may be Kojima’s last.

According to a recent interview with Edge Magazine, and shared by VGC, Hideo Kojima has a contingency plan for precisely that. After facing health issues around the COVID pandemic, he created a backup method to preserve his best-kept ideas.

Of course, Hideo Kojima is currently working on Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, a successor to the controversial yet deeply praised Death Stranding, which oddly predicted how, in the forthcoming year of 2020, humanity would be completely stranded from each other due to the COVID pandemic.
