New information for Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time has been revealed.

During Sony's latest State of Play episode, new information about Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time was released (via the PlayStation Blog). There will be a new playable character in It's About Time: former villain Dingodile. In It's About Time, Dingodile has turned in his flamethrower for a vacuum gun. Using this gun, Dingodile can suck up TNT barrels and launch them at enemies, blowing up anything that stands in his way.

It was also revealed that there will be a number of skins that Crash and Coco can wear as signs of achievements in It's About Time. The characters used to wear outfits to fit in with their environment, but will now earn skins by collecting gems and completing specific tasks. The skins can be worn across any level, and stand as marks of the achievements done in order to earn them. There will be dozens upon dozens of these outfits to earn, giving players a lot to accomplish.

Also announced was a new mode for It's About Time: N. Verted mode. N. Verted mode adds a new layer of gameplay to every dimension. When playing in a dimension, the dimension may involve splattering paint in order to see the path forward, or force players to keep up with an old timey film reel that cranks up gameplay speed. Once N. Verted mode is unlocked, all of the game's levels will feature new gameplay challenges, and will give completionists another challenge for even more rewards.

It has been revealed that there will be two skin sets releasing on the PlayStation 4 version of It's About Time first. These are the Marsupus Erectus Skins and the Serious Upgrade Skins. These skins will be available after the completion of the second level of the game.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time will release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 2nd.
