Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a game so rich in lore that players are still going to be figuring things out years down the line. In a recent interview with us at TheGamer, the game's narrative lead, Jennifer Svedberg-Yen, said the team created a full backstory for every character, expedition, and facet of Lumiere.

One mystery that has stumped players from the very beginning of Clair Obscur's prologue is the presence of two giant statues of a previously unknown man standing tall over the struggling city. While debate has raged as to who it might be, new concept art has confirmed that it is exactly who we thought it was.

First spotted on the Expedition 33 subreddit by user achimas, a new piece of concept art shared on Artstation confirms that at least one of the statues in Lumiere is that of Verso.
