It's been a hot minute since we last got a game from Naughty Dog, as you have to go all the way back to 2020 and The Last of Us Part 2 for the last title released by the studio. We know there have been struggles during the five years since, including a failed attempt at a live-service game set in the universe of The Last of Us, but it now seems like the studio is back on track, with the announcement of its next project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, last year.
Naughty Dog likes to take its time with its games, rarely having two projects on the go at once, so most of us assumed back when Intergalactic was announced that it would be all hands on deck until release. However, that doesn't appear to be the case this time around, as Naughty Dog CEO and The Last of Us Part 2 director Neil Druckmann has revealed a second title is in the works alongside Intergalactic.
