A few days ago, Shift Up officially revealed Stellar Blade: The Complete Edition, a full package of their critically acclaimed title with new content coming to PS5 and PC next month.
This will mark the first time Stellar Blade is playable on PC, although, as of right now, it seems that it won’t be made available in a lot of countries due to region-lock implemented by Sony.
Now that Stellar Blade development and post-launch support is coming to an end, Shift Up is not hesitant to confirm that they are planning to develop and release a sequel.
During an investor relations presentation, Shift Up outlined a timetable showing their plans from the year 2024 to 2027 in one of the slides. This timetable includes two entries for Stellar Blade.
One of them is named “Platform Expansion”, which we now know refers to the release of the game on PC, and the other is called “Sequel”, which obviously refers to Stellar Blade 2.
According to the shared timetable, Shift Up is aiming to release Stellar Blade 2 before 2027. This means that we could receive Stellar Blade 2 in 2026, probably on PS5 first.
