For the most part, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered players are pretty happy with the game. There have been some complaints, plenty of debates, and tons of confusion, but it quickly became 2025's third-best-selling game, so it's doing something right.

A worrying trend or natural attrition?

While the remaster stayed true to many parts of the 2006 title, fans have found a few minor adjustments that have been messing with their flow, one of which is the change to the physics system, and they're desperate for it to be tweaked.

Since its surprise launch last month, veteran Oblivion players have taken multiple opportunities to vent about the Remaster's 'improved' physics. Despite its updates, many objects in Oblivion Remastered's Cyrodiil aren't as reactive, as demonstrated by Reddit user KingHazeel.

The player showed an example in Oblivion where they were able to send dozens of books flying using a single spell. In the Remaster, that just doesn't happen. Players have also complained that decorating is much harder now. This has led to calls for a fix.
