When The Witcher 4 was revealed, it was made evidently clear that for the upcoming game, Geralt wouldn't be the protagonist. Rather, it will be Ciri, which,, if you finished The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, really wouldn't surprise anyone.

Understandably, this has upset some people who wanted to continue playing as Geralt, who starred in the first three games in the franchise.

Even The Witcher's Geralt Voice Actor Is Fine With The Fourth Game Featuring A Different Hero

While some people might have an issue with Ciri taking the mantle from Geralt in headlining The Witcher 4, even Geralt's voice actor is fine with the change.

In the latest episode of Fall Damage (via Retbit), Geralt voice actor Doug Cockle falls in the camp that having a new protagonist means a fresh gameplay experience with a new fighting style and even personality.

Cockle states, "It’s a cool character from the Witcher, and they’re gonna focus on that character." Cockle continued, "I think that’s awesome. You can’t just have Geralt for every single game for The Witcher ad nauseam through eternity."
