A reliable insider has reported that Assassin's Creed Shadows' rumoured co-op mode is still a ways off and not launching this year, while Claws of Awaji is planned for a September release.

Considering how talked-about, delayed, and anticipated the launch of Assassin's Creed Shadows was, it's a little wild to think that we're coming up on three months since the game first dropped. We've known for some time that Ubisoft plans to support Shadows with more DLC and updates after its release, but one of the biggest additions still hasn't been confirmed.

I am, of course, talking about the rumoured co-op mode that would let two players run around Feudal Japan together. This was reported by Insider Gaming some time ago, and there's been evidence in the game's files to suggest that it's actively being worked on, but it seems that it might still have a ways to go until it's implemented.
