Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 is almost upon us, which means it's time for NetEase to start gradually revealing some of the big changes that are on the way. We know that Ultron is being added to the roster, which will give us a much-needed flying strategist, but NetEase has now revealed it's nerfing some of the game's more annoying heroes, and has shown off some team-up ability additions coming next week.
In a new video shared on the Marvel Rivals YouTube channel, lead game designer Zhiyong revealed exactly which team-ups are being added, which ones are being tweaked, and which ones are being straight up removed. For example, you might want to check in on your Spider-Man main friends, as his team-up with Venom is getting axed, while Iron Man has been removed from the Gamma team-up with Hulk.
The new Chrono Shield Cards won't solve Marvel Rivals' competitive mode problems.
More importantly, a bunch of new team-up abilities are being added for characters like Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Ultron, while Jeff and Peni Parker have two new team-ups so absurd that you're probably going to see a lot more of them next season....
