It's been a while since we've seen anything about BioShock lately, with the last proper game in the series coming over a decade ago, way back in 2013. We've had some remasters and the promise of a movie adaptation since then, but it's been all quiet on the BioShock front, understandably convincing some that the franchise is just dead and never coming back.

Thankfully, it does sound like there are signs of life, as it has been claimed that something BioShock-related is going to be announced before the end of summer. This info comes from a new report from Kurakasis for MP1st, an insider who accurately leaked the title of the recently announced Star Wars: Zero Company tactics game.

According to Kurakasis, they received information that BioShock developer 2K is preparing for an announcement that will happen "fairly soon", though they admit they don't know exactly when. They claim that it will likely happen before the end of the summer, which seems likely given that we have a bunch of confirmed showcases and a rumored State of Play coming next month.

They don't make 'em like BioShock 2 anymore.
