While the last State of Play only aired last month, that one focused entirely on Borderlands 4. If you're hoping to know what Sony has in store for PS5 gamers beyond 2025, we might get news soon.

A new rumor has surfaced, and it comes from a credible-enough source that it warrants sharing, since I assume I'm not the only PlayStation gamer curious about what Sony has up their sleeve.

PlayStation Event Incoming This June

The news comes from Jeff Grubb in the latest Game Mess Mornings episode, where the reliable leaker mentioned that there is something PlayStation-related happening this June, though he can't be certain whether it's a State of Play or something bigger.

Grubb states, "Someone commented on ResetEra---NateDrake--- who is reliable, and says he hasn't heard anything about a May event from Sony this year. I haven't either, but that's because something's happening in June---it's a June thing. They're doing something in June. Now is that going to be a big Showcase? I don't think so.
