ARC Raiders Fans Think They Have Found A Hidden Release Date

Ever since the ARC Raiders tech test 2 ended, players around the Rust Belt have been showing signs of post-raid withdrawal. Symptoms are varied, but a Discord community had an outbreak of high-quality investigative behavior.

Embark briefly pushed out an update well after the public preview had ended. Although it was accessible for less than 10 minutes it, that was enough time for some crafty raiders to dig around and find what might be a release date announcement.

The potential Easter Egg was hidden inside the game's disabled executable. As described on Reddit by user kzrts, the Base64 string on the top of the PioneerGame.exe file links to a countdown.

The SHA1 hash of the executable were verified against those on SteamDB. Although it is possible to spoof a SHA1 hash, it would be unlikely (if not impossible) that someone would go through the trouble here.

The custom Tick Counter link counts down to June 6th. This date would coincide with the start date of Summer Game Fest 2025, ran by Geoff Keighley of The Game Awards fame.
