The two games that PS Plus members will get for free in the month of September have been announced.
On the PlayStation Blog, the free games that PS Plus members can download for the month of September have been revealed. The first game is PUBG: PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds. In PUBG, 100 players parachute onto a map and try to be the last one standing. Players start with nothing, and must scavenge weapons and supplies as they battle in an ever shrinking map. Players can go solo, or form squads of up to four players in order to try surviving together.
The second game that will be free for PS Plus in the month of September is Street Fighter V. The latest game in the historic franchise offers a number of single-player modes, and lets players duke it out online in order to see who is the best. It was not stated what version of Street Fighter V will be available through PS Plus. It can be assumed that it will be the base game that subscribers will be able to download.
Along with the announcement that Street Fighter V was coming to PS Plus, it was revealed that a PlayStation 4 Street Fighter V tournament will be held soon. The tournament is open to those who live in the U.S. and Canada. There will be multiple opportunities for participants to qualify for the finals where winners of the monthly finals could win a chunk of the $1,000 prize pool. There will also be unique prizes that can not be find anywhere else. The tournament will be held from September 4th through October 3rd. Open qualifiers start September 4th, and end October 3rd. The tournament will follow a Swiss format. Those who finish in the top 64 per Open Qualifier will progress to the next stage of the tournament. The finals will be held on October 3rd.
