Doom: The Dark Ages is officially out, and while the Steam numbers for the id Software-developed title aren't the strongest, especially compared to Doom Eternal, it seems like those who are playing the game are enjoying it well-enough. Critically, it is one of the highest-rated entries in the Doom franchise, and its Game Pass inclusion almost certainly has more people jumping in than they would have otherwise.
If you have to connect to Wi-Fi to access the full game, that's not a physical copy.
That said, it appears that a point of contention for players has been the melee and parrying. However, via a new mod, that issue seems to be fixed.
Over on Nexus Mods, creator SkallEdit has released a new mod that helps speed up the act of melee or parrying. Dubbed the SlowMoBREAK mod, it allows players to modify the speed of the actions to their liking, including increasing them to a more breakneck pace.
