Xbox gamers, you're going to want to run, not walk to this limited-time deal. Metro 2033 Redux is 100 percent free on the Xbox storefront, but only for a limited time.
Unlike the whole Alan Wake debacle from March, where the game was mistakenly made free before being revoked from peoples' accounts, this game is free to own for the rest of your life, no strings attached. As of this writing, players only have two days left to claim the deal, before it's presumably gone for good, so you'll want to sign on and claim it, even if you don't plan on playing it right away.
Metro is all about immersing you in the apocalypse, so VR is the logical next step.
In case you're wondering, Metro 2033 Redux was originally intended to be free back in April in honor of the game's 15-year anniversary. For one reason or another, things didn't go smoothly, so the team at 4A Games has brought back the promotion, this time without any hitches.
