Developer Odd Object has announced their debut project, Scrubbin' Trubble, during the MIX Summer Game Showcase. This is a tactical roguelike indie experience with 4-player co-op with a team that includes people who previously worked on indie hits, including Cadence of Hyrule, UFO 50, and Catacomb Kids.
A Clean'em Up Indie Roguelike with Multiple Classes
The concept behind Scrubbin' Trubble revolves around a unique subject: cleaning. Either alone or with a party of other players, you have to explore a very unclean place called The House. It's up to your group to fight against the creatures that spread filth around.
Players can choose six different classes inspired by RPGs but with a thematic twist. The options range from the Bubbaladin, a close-quarters combatant who can take some punishment, to the Bleacher, who cleans out enemy waves by sniping them down from afar.
Other already revealed options include the Washbuckler, who can push back enemies with attacks, and the Frothbarian, who fights filth with fists. Mixing and matching a good team will likely impact the viability of the run, so smart coordination with your partners is part of the experience.
