Death Howl Demo Brings Back a Glimpse of the Soulslike Deckbuilder for Steam Next Fest

Developer The Outer Zone and publisher 11 Bit Studios have announced that Death Howl will receive a new demo for Steam Next Fest. This will be the second build of the game publicly available through Valve's store, and it'll be possible to play it from June 9 to June 16 as part of the celebrations of the festival.

A Scandinavian Tale of Grieving

Drawing inspiration from Scandinavian folklore, Death Howl tells the story of Ro, a hunter who comes from a small tribe. She's overcome with grief after the death of her son and goes on a journey through the realm of the spirits to try to bring him back to life.

The game will take players on a journey reflecting on grief, love and loss. As she faces the spirits, she'll dive into a dark world that invites her to recollect buried memories and have secrets whispered to her. According to the developers, her story is also a slow path that can lead the protagonist to acceptance.
