Elden Ring Nightreign Sales Top 2m on First Day | TechRaptor

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have revealed that multiplayer spinoff Elden Ring Nightreign has already reached a major sales milestone less than 24 hours after its launch.

Per a post on X, Elden Ring Nightreign sales have topped two million, which is pretty impressive given that the game was released just a few hours ago. That is, of course, across all platforms on which Nightreign is available, including last-gen consoles.

Naturally, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco don't provide a detailed breakdown of where people are buying the game, but the fact that Nightreign seems to be selling pretty well will no doubt come as a relief to the developer given that it's FromSoftware's first ever Souls-adjacent spinoff.

Despite Nightreign's success, players' response to the game hasn't been entirely positive. At time of writing, Nightreign is sitting at a "Mixed" Steam rating across just over 10,000 reviews.

Common criticisms include alterations to Elden Ring's base control scheme, as well as the lack of in-built voice communication and the inability to play the game as a duo.
