Following the announcement of Romeo is a Dead Man by Grasshopper Manufacture at Sony's State of Play event, the studio didn't specify when the game would be released, except that it would be sometime in 2026.
It wasn't narrowed down whether it was early 2026, or which quarter they were targeting for the game's launch. As it turns out, it's all because of Grand Theft Auto 6.
Grasshopper, along with other video game publishers, are waiting on GTA 6's release before deciding on when to release their game.

While not named outright by Grasshopper Manufacture, it's pretty obvious they were referring to GTA 6 when they referred to it as "That One Game" in a statement (via IGN).
