Black Myth: Wukong is easily one of 2024's best games, and even though it didn't win any actual awards, it did win Player's Voice at The Game Awards. That alone shows just how much the game resonated with the public, but for the best part of a year, it's a game that Xbox fans haven't been able to play.

It was a real mystery as to why Black Myth: Wukong didn't release on Xbox alongside PlayStation and PC, with the company itself suggesting that some kind of back-handed exclusivity deal had been made. It didn't turn out to be the case, as the game's director eventually came out and explained it was due to difficulties with the Xbox Series S.

Ever since, we've been waiting patiently for news on exactly when Xbox users will be able to play Black Myth: Wukong. Thankfully, that wait will be over pretty soon, as Xbox itself has confirmed via its official Twitter account that Black Myth: Wukong it hit Xbox consoles on August 20 later this summer, with pre-orders set to begin on June 18 this month.

Very little about this luscious world feels vast.
