Developer and publisher TaleWorlds has announced that its upcoming Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord expansion War Sails has been delayed, so it will no longer be launching in June.
In a post on Steam, TaleWorlds says that it took a "hard look at where things stand" with regards to War Sails, and that doing so made it "clear" the expansion "won't be ready by the originally planned release date of June 17th".
As such, it's being pushed back to "early fall 2025", so you can probably expect War Sails to arrive somewhere around September or October. No more specific release date than that has been given, unfortunately.
TaleWorlds says it "came to this decision after a lot of thought (and a few long meetings)", with the delay being put into effect in order to give the studio "more time to reach the level of quality [players] rightfully expect".
The developer says it intends to use the extra time to "apply additional polish, and continue making progress on the improvements to the base game that are already in motion". A new release date will be revealed "in the upcoming weeks".
If you're not familiar with War Sails, it's an "epic single-player expansion"...
