While it's only been a handful of years since Digimon Survive was released, the last Digimon Story game, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth — Hacker's Memory, came out well over seven years ago, making Time Stranger a particularly momentous occasion for longtime fans of the franchise. That said, the hype bubble has seemingly been burst after it was revealed what the game's framerate will be.
As first spotted by Gematsu, via a release from Bandai Namco, the game will run at 30fps across both PlayStation and Xbox Series consoles. It will, however, support 60fps on PC during "optical conditions."
It represents a rather major blow for those on console, particularly as the game has been set for a current-gen-only release, meaning there is no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One to figuratively "hold" things back.
