Persona 4, arguably one of the most beloved JRPGs of all time, could be getting a remake after 17 years. The ATLUS classic was an introduction for many fans to the Persona series, which has only increased in popularity with the likes of Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload in more recent years.
The influence of the Persona series is undeniable at this point, with titles like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, The Thaumaturge and ATLUS' own Metaphor ReFantazio all taking inspiration from its semi-open world design and turn-based combat mechanics.
