Dying Light: The Beast finally received it's anticipated release date as part of the Summer Game Fest 2025 Livestream. The popular zombie survival series has grown into something of a cult classic over the years, and developers Techland will be looking to continue that good form going into the third installment.

Originally envisioned as a DLC to Dying Light 2: Stay Human, Dying Light: The Beast has since morphed into its own standalone title and will take place in its own setting.

The impressive trailer, which featured high-fidelity visuals and gameplay examples including parkour and action finishers, finally capped off with the announcement of a release date of August 22nd, 2025.

What Can We Expect From Dying Light: The Beast?

So far, we know that Kyle Crane, the original protagonist of Dying Light, will be making a return and battling against a villain named The Baron. The setting of Castor Woods appears to feature both dense, lush woodlands and urban environments with more classical European-inspired architecture.

The game appears to feature vehicles and the usual parkour/melee combat that we are used to, but the environments are considerably more detailed, as are your undead foes.
