Scott Pilgrim is making a big return later this year.
Ubisoft has announced that Scott Pligrim vs. The World is making a comeback. A trailer for the game was released, showing off the game's pixel art style and 8-bit soundtrack. This will be the Complete Edition of the game, and will include the Knives Chau and Wallace Wells character packs that were released as DLC. The game can be played with up to four players either locally or online. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will include a number of mini-games, such as dodgeball, for players to compete in.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is a 2-D arcade-style beat'em up inspired by the comic series created by Bryan Lee O'Malley, as well as the movie by Edgar Wright. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World gives players the option to play as a number of characters from the comic series, including Scott himself, Ramona Flowers, Stephen Stills, and more. Players will take on waves of enemies as they try to take out the League of Evil Exes.
The Scott Pilgrim comic series follows Scott Pilgrim, a slacker and musician who lives in Canada. Scott falls in love with a girl named Ramona Flowers, but soon discovers that he must defeat her seven exes, who have formed the League of Evil Exes, in order to be with her. The series begin in 2004 and consisted of 6 volumes, and has become a cult hit. A movie based off of the comic series was released in 2010, which inspired the game. The game was delisted from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 back in 2014.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will release this holiday season for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. There is no word on whether or not there will be a physical edition.
