Little Kitty, Big City is about to get a whole lot bigger. During the 2025 Wholesome Direct showcase, developer Double Dagger Studio announced a free content update coming this summer to all platforms. The update adds new features, including expanded story content, a new area of the city to explore, new characters, cat customization options, more hats, and an enhanced photo mode.
You can look forward to unexpected additions like the ability to do a dog impression (for reasons known only to Kitty), a friendship with a feline superstar, and plenty of new distractions and surprises tucked into the expanded neighborhood. The update aims to offer hours of new content, building on the original game's short but beloved runtime.
First released in May 2024, Little Kitty, Big City was praised for its charm, humor, and cozy open-world design. However, some felt the experience ended too quickly, clocking in at just 2.5 hours for the main objectives, and around 6.5 hours for 100 percent completion. This update appears to be a direct response, adding more room to explore and more reasons to linger in the cityscape.
