Dying Light fans aren't particularly happy about how similar The Beast looks to Dying Light 2, especially considering it's now a full-priced game instead of an expansion.

Yesterday's Summer Game Fest showcase was full of big reveals (such as Scott Pilgrim Ex and Resident Evil Requiem), but one thing we knew about before going in was that Dying Light: The Beast would finally get a proper gameplay trailer. That trailer not only gave us our best look at The Beast yet, but it also confirmed a release date of August 22, meaning we're just a few months away from reuniting with Kyle Crane.

The new chapter in the Dying Light series shows everything we love about it, but its new trick raises some questions.

It wasn't all good news, though. Shortly after the new trailer was released, it was confirmed that Dying Light: The Beast is going to cost $50, which is seemingly a bit more than fans were expecting. Although The Beast is a standalone game, it seems that the gameplay hasn't convinced fans that it couldn't have just been an expansion for Dying Light 2.
