It has to be soon, right? Six years after its announcement and periods of radio silence, Hollow Knight: Silksong has never felt closer. This year, the game briefly appeared during Nintendo's Switch 2 showcase, received updates it hadn't had for six years, and is set to be shown at an Australian exhibition in September. The wheels seem to be turning.

Now, just three short days away from Summer Game Fest, Silksong has received another update that has left fans hoping, nay expecting, that it will shadow drop as part of this year's show.
Over on Steam, Hollow Knight: Silksong's page has received another new update. According to SteamDB, at 3:44 am UTC on June 3, Silksong received a new "depot" that added the billing type "store or CD Key". This heavily implies that the game is now being readied for purchase.
Given the proximity to Summer Game Fest, the Hollow Knight: Silksong community, who are usually totally calm and collected, are in hysterics.
