PlayStation Fans, You Can Try Out Gears Of War: Reloaded As Soon As This Week

Back in early May, Xbox did the unthinkable by announcing that Gears of War would be coming to PlayStation 5 via Gears of War: Reloaded, a remaster of the 2006 title, complete with high-end graphics and multiplayer support.

Flash forward to today, and Gears of War: Reloaded will have an open beta accessible to all platforms, including PlayStation, ahead of its August 26 release, meaning gamers on Sony's flagship console don't have to wait to experience one of Xbox's longtime exclusives for themselves.

As announced during Sunday's Xbox Game Showcase, the Gears of War: Reloaded open beta will kick off on June 13 (Friday) and will span two weekends in total.

It'll be a cross-platform experience, and it is open to those who've pre-ordered Reloaded, Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC members, as well as those who already own Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, the original remaster of the title from back in 2015.

Xbox exclusives are now a thing of the past as Gears of War prepares for its PS5 launch.

Sunday's announcement isn't all too surprising, considering it was heavily rumored that Reloaded would have some sort of beta period to presumably stress...
