With all the attention seemingly on The Outer Worlds 2 this weekend, Obsidian Entertainment dropped the pleasant surprise that a Grounded sequel is not only in development, but arriving as soon as the end of next month.
The trailer, which was shown as part of the XBOX Games Showcase, was one of the most notable announcements of the event, particularly given that it looks even bigger and better than the original.
As a further surprise, a release date of July 29th, 2025 was also given, which means that we only have weeks to wait before embarking on another miniaturized scientific adventure. There is a minor caveat, however, the release will be coming to Game Preview, meaning that it will be in an early-access state for a while before its full release, much like the prequel.
