Two of the biggest modern Final Fantasy games have finally arrived on Xbox systems, as it was announced that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy 16 are both coming to Xbox Series X/S consoles. In fact, one of them is available today.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 16 both launched as PlayStation exclusives, much to the chagrin of fans worldwide. They eventually came to PC, but they stayed locked to PlayStation consoles, at least until the Nintendo Switch 2 came out, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake made the jump.
It was announced during the summer 2025 Xbox Games Showcase that more Final Fantasy games are coming to the system. Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 16 will come to the Xbox Series X/S in 2025. The video for both trailers is now available on the official Xbox YouTube channel.
