Capcom finally unveiled Resident Evil 9 at Summer Game Fest last week, introducing us to new protagonist Grace Ashcroft. But with the long-awaited return to Raccoon City being a focal point, you'd expect a few familiar faces to crop up alongside her.
Well, fans think they did. Or rather, their voices did. As many have pointed out across TikTok and Reddit, like u/InsiderYet, as soon as the Raccoon City crater appears at 2:45, you can hear a few different characters muttering to each other. One sounds like Leon Kennedy, another like Jill Valentine, and the third like Chris Redfield or Carlos Oliveira. It's hard to pinpoint who they might be since they share a voice actor: Jeff Schine.
"Investigating all these strange deaths, huh?" a man who sounds like Leon asks. "We need to keep our voices down," replies who might be Jill. "Have you seen the same sh*t I've seen?", answers another man who sounds like Carlos or Chris. It almost seems like the three have stumbled onto each other in the ruins of Raccoon City, perhaps following the mysterious new outbreak sweeping the nation in hopes that they can prevent history from repeating itself.
