In the months leading up to and the few days following its launch, there was a lot of hype surrounding InZoi. Its stunning, realistic graphics and a seemingly endless array of customization options meant the game was given the "Sims Killer" moniker, and for a while, it looked like it might just be that.

InZoi's modding community is already wild.

On InZoi's launch day, over 87,000 players jumped in at the same time, a number only beaten by The Sims 4 a handful of times. But it didn't take long for the bottom to fall out.

In just two weeks, InZoi had lost 85 percent of its players, and a few days after that, it dropped to lows that The Sims 4 hadn't seen in over four years. Now, just six short weeks later, InZoi's player count has fallen below The Sims 3, a game that is over 16 years old.

At the end of April, I reported that InZoi was "getting dangerously close to dropping below The Sims 3's player numbers," something the InZoi community didn't take kindly to, but it didn't take long for that prophecy to come true.
