Dune: Awakening officially launched as of yesterday, and players are learning just how hostile the deserts of Arrakis can be. If the head, dehydration and constant clan battles aren't enough to get you killed, there's also the massive sandworms that eat anything and everything in their path.
The desert sands of Arrakis are not necesarily a friendly place in Dune: Awakening.
No matter what you're doing, you'll have to drop everything and jump out of the way when Shai-Hulud comes rolling through. With the Fremen nowhere to be found in this alternate-history setting of Frank Herbert's classic, there's no one to tame these gods of the desert. However, that hasn't stopped players from channeling their inner Lisan al Gaib.
In the absence of the Fremen and Lisan al Gaib, Dune: Awakening doesn't allow you to ride the sandworms like in the books and movies. But what didn't deter one player from figuring out a way to do so. It's actually quite simple – all you need to do is bait the sandworm towards you and jump boost over its head to land on its body.
You won't perfectly land on it, but might glitch through and get stuck somewhere...
