Pokémon GO is getting a fashion-based week long event.

It has been announced that Pokémon GO will be collaborating with Longchamp Paris for a week long event. The event will begin on October 2nd, and will last until October 8th. During this week players will run into Pokémon wearing costumes. Smoochum that hatch from 7 km Eggs during the event will be wearing a bow. There is a chance of running into a Kirlia or Shinx in raids that will be wearing top hats, with these Kirlia knowing the move Draining Kiss. A number of Pokémon will be encounterable wearing backwards caps. This includes Mareep, Skitty, Croagunk, and Kricketot. There is also the chance of running into a shiny Kricketot. Gamers will also be able to experience exclusive Field Research during the event.

Players will be able to obtain a special Longchamp avatar item for free in the game's shop. Gamers will soon be able to match their avatars by picking up the same item in Longchamp stores. The bags will be available from Longchamp later this fall.

Pokémon GO's Longchamp event is not the only upcoming event. It has been announced that Team Rocket's Jessie and James will be leaving Pokémon GO soon, and that players will have one week to encounter them. The week will start tomorrow, September 22nd, and will last until September 30th. During this time, the Meowth balloon that features Jessie and James will be appearing more than usual.

Last month it was announced that Pokémon GO will no longer be compatible with certain Android and iOS devices. In mid-October, support for Android 5, iOS 10, and iOS 11, as well as iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 devices will end. Those with devices or operating systems not listed will not be affected.

Pokémon GO is available now on mobile devices.
