Following the surprisingly massive success of the Silent Hill 2 remake, Bloober Team has been confirmed to be remaking the first game in the series.
One of the biggest surprises last year was Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 remake, which went far beyond the expectations that many of us had for it considering how the team previously handled horror. That massive success made it seem likely that Bloober would return to work on Silent Hill again in the future.
It's time to do or die, Bloober.
Well, it looks like that obvious conclusion has finally been confirmed, as it was announced during Konami's showcase today that early development on a new Silent Hill remake from Bloober has begun. More specifically, it seems that the team is remaking the very first game in the series.
To cap off Konami's Press Start showcase (which also revealed a new online mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater), a very quick but long-awaited announcement was made for a Silent Hill remake. That announcement only showed a splash screen saying "Silent Hill in development" alongside Bloober Team and Konami's logos, but it's clearly going to be a remake of the first game.
