The only thing better than getting a video game at a deep discount, is getting it for free — no strings attached. Last month, that game was Metro 2033 Redux in honor of its 15-year anniversary. Now, that game might be Dying Light: The Beast.

It's one thing for a new game to cost $80, it's another for an old game to cost $80.

The once DLC expansion turned into a full-fledged game will be released on August 22, and ahead of its launch, developer Techland took to Reddit to share how gamers could get The Beast for free. Here's how…

Taking to Reddit, Techland's community manager outlined just how The Beast could be obtained for free, and it all largely stems from Dying Light 2, which was released in 2022.

To start, if you purchased Dying Light 2: Stay Human Ultimate Edition, you'll get The Beast, no strings attached. It'll automatically appear in your library with no additional steps needed. Because The Beast was originally planned as a DLC for Dying Light 2, Techland is essentially honoring that, even if The Beast itself has morphed into its own standalone.
