The MindsEye launch has been a total mess, but at least there’s some recourse for PS5 owners.
Sony has approved refunds for MindsEye on PS5 after a disastrous launch, which is crawling with game-breaking bugs.
Developer Build a Rocket Boy has promised that fixes are on the way, with the first one to prioritize performance fixes, along with addressing some players' missing DLC that they should own.
It's a rare case for Sony to offer refunds, with the most high-profile recent example being the PS4 version of Cyberpunk 2077, which even ended up being delisted from the PS Store, implying the same could happen with MindsEye.
Suddenly Canceling Sponsored Streams
In the wake of the extreme performance issues and negative reception, Build a Rocket Boy seems to be in full damage control mode, even going so far as to abruptly cancel sponsorship plans for streamers.
Kotaku’s Ethan Gach spotted one such case, where streamer CohhCarnage received an email to cancel his sponsored stream right before it was scheduled to start, after changing his stream title and even launching the game.
“My sponsored stream was supposed to start at 8:00,” the streamer said.
