RuneScape is coming to Steam soon.

Developer Jagex has announced that RuneScape is coming to Steam next month. The game will release on the platform on October 14th. It was also announced that Old School RuneScape will come to Steam as well as in 2021. The Steam version of RuneScape will offer membership packages and achievements. A dedicated support team will maintain a Community Hub for Steam users, including weekly announcements, guides, articles, artwork, and videos.

The Coming Soon page for RuneScape is live on Steam right now. There players can add the game to their Wishlist and be notified when the game releases.

"Jagex is on a mission to bring the RuneScape universe to more players globally," Jagex CEO Phil Mansell stated. "Following our games' arrival on mobile stores, we are now expanding the availability of the desktop versions. Making them accessible to the Steam community is an important step in achieving this goal. We're excited to see RuneScape debut on Steam from October 14th and look forward to Old School RuneScape's arrival next year, as we enable even more gamers to access and explore our rich and engaging living game worlds."

RuneScape is approaching 20 years of operation as a living game, with almost 285 million player accounts. Jagex reported its highest-ever player membership number earlier this year. RuneScape is an ever-expanding, live MMORPG set in a medieval fantasy world. Players create a character and embark on a journey through a vast sandbox world that is full of gods, warring races, unexplored dungeons, and riches. Gamers progress through 27 diverse skills to shape their character in a classless world.

RuneScape is available now on PC through the game's website. The game is available on Android through Early Access, and supports crossplay between the mobile and PC versions of the title.
