Dune: Awakening is enjoying a stellar start to life. Players are relishing living their best survival lives in Dune's treacherous world, with its smooth launch enticing tens of thousands of players to build bases, farm resources, grief their fellow Duners, and even figure out ways to glitch onto Sandworms for free rides.

I don't remember Shai-Hulud targeting bases being a core part of the movies.

While much of the reception around the game is positive, some players have begun to reach Dune: Awakening's endgame content, and if they're playing alone, they're already considering giving up.

Dune: Awakening's endgame has many strings to its bow. There's the massive PVP area, Faction quests to complete, and the fight for resources to develop, create, and upgrade endgame equipment, like the max-tier Ornithopter. If you're part of a guild, or at least have a bunch of players you regularly jump in with, it's great. Solo players, on the other hand, don't seem to think so.

Just a few days ago, we said, "I always knew that Dune: Awakening was going to be a struggle for solo players," with the cost of upgrading highly sought-after Ornithopters, for example, extremely high.Now, with the game...
