Monster Hunter World was a behemoth when it launched in 2018. Skyrocketing to become Capcom's most successful game ever, there was no stopping it, especially after its PC release and Iceborne expansion. It's easily one of the most beloved games of all time. However, despite topping the sales of World, Monster Hunter Wilds has been having a rough time.

Capcom's strategy of launching the game on all platforms on one day worked out, as the player count and sales reached new heights for Capcom.
