CD Projekt Red has made no secret of the fact that The Witcher 4 won't be with us anytime soon. The last word we heard on the matter is that it won't launch any sooner than 2027, which isn't surprising, given that its reveal trailer was purely cinematic.
So, it came as a surprise when we got what looked a whole lot like a gameplay trailer at the State of Unreal showcase. Then, CD Projekt Red clarified that it was a tech demo, so this is more aspirational than it is an accurate demonstration of what we'll be playing. Now, the devs have shed some more light on what this means and what they're aiming to create.
Speaking with Digital Foundry, several developers from CDPR and Epic Games answered some questions about the tech demo and The Witcher 4's development.
